Gen Z turns to TikTok for financial advice

Younger Brits are turning to TikTok for monetary data, with lots of them believing that influencers on the app present higher recommendation than conventional media.

A survey of 1000 18 to 14 yr olds for the Present Account Swap Service exhibits that 58% comply with TikTok influencers who speak about budgeting, cash, or private finance.

Of those, many belief what they hear, with 40% saying that these influencers give higher recommendation than conventional media, 34% higher than their associates and 26% higher than their monetary supplier.

Practically half of respondents say that TikTok influencers have helped them make a monetary determination, together with investing in shares and shares, Isas, or serving to them select a mortgage.

With regards to switching present accounts, a 3rd of Gen Z say that cash influencers on TikTok have made them conscious of a switching provide and even contemplate switching to a special supplier who meets their wants.
