Visa has filed two trademark purposes associated to the metaverse, non-fungible tokens and digital forex wallets.
The appliance mentions: “Offering digital environments by which customers can work together for leisure, leisure or leisure functions accessible within the digital world.”
Elsewhere it specifies “non-downloadable digital items; particularly, a collectible collection of non-fungible tokens” and software program for “administration of digital transactions; use as a digital forex pockets and storage companies software program; use as a cryptocurrency pockets; and managing and verifying cryptocurrency transactions utilizing blockchain know-how.”
Visa is following within the footsteps of Mastercard and American Categorical, which have each already filed metaverse trademark purposes.
