Somalytics, a College of Washington spinout growing tech to sense human gestures, physique features and eye motion, raised $1.9 million. The seed spherical was led by IP Group, with participation from Washington Analysis Basis. UW affiliate professor of mechanical engineering Jae-Hyun Chung developed the expertise, and he co-founded the corporate with two graduate college students in his lab, Zhongie Qian and Viggy Sak. The startup is led by CEO Barbara Barclay, who beforehand labored as president of eye-tracking healthcare firm RightEye. The funding will go in direction of manufacturing, analysis and improvement, and crew progress.
