‘Red Matter 2’ Coming to Quest 2 & PC VR Next Month – Road to VR

Vertical Robotic introduced that the sequel to its critically-acclaimed VR journey sport Purple Matter (2018) is touchdown on Quest 2 and PC VR headsets subsequent month.

The studio introduced the information in a tweet, saying that it’ll arrive on each platforms on August 18th.

Vertical Robotic beforehand talked about it was coming to Quest 2, so PC VR headset house owners may now sit up for leaping into the thrilling continuation of the sport’s off-world espionage journey.

First introduced at Meta Quest Gaming Showcase in April, the studio says it desires to offer Purple Matter 2 with the “greatest graphics on cell VR thus far.”

The unique Purple Matter was initially launched on PC VR headsets in 2018 after which later ported to the Quest platform a 12 months later, within the course of making it one of many best-looking PC VR-to-Quest ports but. Purple Matter 2 nevertheless is being constructed for Quest 2 from the ground-up.

At its April unveiling, the studio stated Purple Matter 2 would come with a “wealthy narrative-driven journey with wonderful voice-over work and new gameplay mechanics.” It’s stated to incorporate model new and difficult puzzles, a brand new jetpack, a brand new terminal-hacking device, a projectile weapon, and a heavy emphasis on physics objects.
