Sony Interactive Leisure has revealed PlayStation VR video games won’t be suitable with PlayStation VR2.
The information was confirmed by Sony Interactive Leisure senior VP of platform expertise Hideaki Nishino, who principally mentioned PlayStation VR2 is a completely new {hardware} platform, and as such the unique PlayStation VR video games are completely incompatible with it.
Nishino mentioned making video games for VR2 would require “an entire completely different method” than the unique platform, and cited its improved {hardware} capabilities like 4K HDR, haptic suggestions, and extra.
PlayStation VR2 is launching someday in early 2023.
