In a latest AMA on Reddit, lead author on the primary two Mass Impact video games Drew Karpyshyn expressed shock at folks getting sexy for Garrus.

An essential factor to think about when writing a narrative of any sort, is that should you make any form of humanoid race that may bone, folks will need to bone it. Characters like Garrus won’t be to your style, however loads of folks would fortunately bend over backwards for the turian, a lot to Karpyshyn’s shock.

“We all the time knew they’d come again as companions,” wrote Karpyshyn within the AMA when requested about how Garrus and Tali had been introduced in as romance choices for Mass Impact 2. “I used to be a bit stunned followers wished the romance choices. Tali I may kind of see… you by no means noticed her face, so it was straightforward to think about one thing vaguely human. (However she had these bizarre toes!) Garrus blindsided me—however as soon as we noticed what followers wished, we determined to ship!”

Garrus is a notable fan favorite of the sequence, so anybody within the know may clearly see why he must be a romanceable character. Although sadly for those who pictured having a loving household with him, that most likely is not on the desk.

“The varied species in Mass Impact are too biologically totally different to breed with one another,” wrote Karpyshyn. “Besides Asari, after all… it is a part of what made them distinctive. However that is simply my private take; I do not work on the sequence anymore so if BioWare desires to have Turi-quar infants, that is their selection.”

Whereas the previous Mass Impact author does observe he is not on the sequence anymore, BioWare most likely will take the safer route of not permitting you to have infants with one other species.

However who is aware of? A brand new Mass Impact is on the way in which, one that may see the return of the Geth, so something may occur.
