NetEase Games acquires Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream

NetEase Video games has acquired Quantic Dream, making it the Chinese language firm’s first European video games studio.

William Ding, CEO and director of NetEase, says in a press release that “by combining the wild creativity and distinctive narrative focus of Quantic Dream with NetEase’s highly effective services, assets, and execution capabilities, we imagine there are infinite prospects that might redefine the interactive leisure expertise we offer for gamers worldwide.”

“NetEase Video games values our inventive freedom and the drive and fervour of our uniquely various group. We’ll now be capable of speed up the imaginative and prescient we share as a bunch of making landmark titles that contact individuals on an emotional stage,” provides Quantic Dream founder David Cage.

Quantic Dream head of publishing Guillaume de Fondaumière mentioned: “NetEase Video games’ acquisition comes as a pure evolution on this course of and creates a singular alternative to spice up Quantic Dream’s development by giving our manufacturing and publishing groups all the mandatory means to excel.”
